Tim was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1992 and has been practicing law in Jefferson City since 1996. Before that, he practiced in St. Louis as an associate in a corporate law firm.  In addition to being a founder of Mariea & Sigmund, LLC, the predecessor of Sigmund Browning, LLC, Tim was a principal of 3D Career Development, LLC, a provider of real estate continuing education for licensed brokers and salespersons throughout Missouri.  His extensive travels throughout Missouri teaching classes gave him a strong background in real estate-related legal issues.  His practice has evolved from primarily real estate-related to helping clients with all aspects of business transactional matters, employer representation, asset protection, and estate planning.  Tim has extensive experience with corporations, limited liability companies, and other entities, including formation, operation, and succession planning.  He represents real estate licensees, REALTORS®, and Boards of REALTORS® throughout Missouri.  In addition, he has negotiated and documented both simple and highly complex real estate and business transactions, including acquisitions, sales, financing, planning, development, and tax incentives.  Tim enjoys representing employers to assist with compliance, investigations, and defense of complaints when necessary.  Tim is well-versed in all structures of Section 1031 tax-deferred exchanges and works with taxpayers, title companies, brokers, and other attorneys to help facilitate such exchanges.  Finally, Tim can assist you with your asset protection and estate planning needs.

Tim is a firm believer in giving his time and services to the community and charitable organizations.  Tim has served on the boards, and in officer positions, of the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (Recipient of Award of Merit), the Real Property Law and Employment Law Committees of the Missouri Bar, Jefferson City Rotary West (President), University of Missouri Alumni Association (President), Special Learning Center Foundation (Past President and current Board member), Capital Soccer Club (President), Jays Soccer Boosters (President), Lady Jays Soccer Boosters (President), Boys and Girls Club of Jefferson City (President), HCJ Foundation (current board member), as well as volunteering for numerous events and activities.

Tim received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tulsa with a degree in Finance and his law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia where he was a Member of the Journal of Dispute Resolution.
